In Wichita, January home prices, including short sales, were up 2.3 percent compared to January 2012, according to real estate analysis firm CoreLogic.
Excluding distressed sales, year-over-year prices were up 3.9 percent.
Compared to December, Wichita area home prices were up 1.3 percent, or up 2 percent, excluding distressed sales.
Nationally, home prices increased 9.7 percent in January compared to January 2012. That was the biggest increase since April 2006 and the 11th consecutive monthly increase in home prices nationally, according to CoreLogic.
