The Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce said Monday it recruited 185 new members during a drive last week.
The Chamber had1,550 members, so the number of new members exceeded officials goal of boosting membership by 10 percent.
More than 200 Chamber members participated in events, inviting others to join the group.
Awards for exceptional efforts were presented to John Clevenger of Commerce Bank and Martha Linsner of The Trust Company of Kansas. Awards for gathering at least six new memberships were given to Tom Dondlinger of Dondlinger & Sons; Dave Franson of Wichita Aero Club; Christian Lehr of Commerce Bank; Jack Pulley of Davis Moore; and Brad Tidemann of J.P. Weigand & Sons.
Awards for outstanding dedication were given to Claudio Ferrero of Via Christi; Dave Franson of Wichita Aero Club; Jack Pulley of Davis Moore; and Rod Young of Professional Engineering Consultants.
