Zac Brown Band, WWE coming to Intrust Bank Arena

Intrust Bank Arena officials on Monday morning announced two events coming to the venue: A concert by the Zac Brown Band on April 20 and a round of WWE Smackdown on May 14.

Tickets for the Zac Brown Band show go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday and will be $45, $59.75 and $69.75. WWE Smackdown tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday and will be $17, $27, $37, $52 and $97.

The Zac Brown Band, a country/folk act known for songs such as “Chicken Fried,” last performed in Wichita in November 2010.

WWE brings its shows through a couple of times a year.

The arena will use its lottery system when selling the Zac Brown Band tickets. In an effort to discourage camping and ensure fairness, arena officials sell tickets using the system whenever they anticipate a particularly high


Under the system, fans can start lining up at the arena box office at 7 a.m. Those who are there at 9 a.m. will be given a ticket with a number. At 9:30 a.m., a random number is drawn. That person becomes first in line,and everyone else lines up behind that person in numerical order.

Tickets to both events also will be available at the Intrust Bank Arena box office, at Select-A-Seat outlets, at selectaseat.com, or by calling 316-755-SEAT.
