A 5-kilometer run and a one-mile family walk will be held at El Dorado’s Civic Center on May 4 to benefit Rainbows United.
The events will start in front of the center, 201 E. Central. The 5K will start at 9 a.m. and the run at 9:45 a.m.
Registration is $20 for adults, $15 for teenagers 13-17 and free for children 12 and under. To register, go to rainbowsunited.org. There will be an additional charge for same-day registration.
There will be activities for children throughout the morning. Child care will be provided for children 2 through 8 during the 5K event.
The event is being held to help support the work Rainbows United does in Butler County. Rainbows United is a Wichita-based nonprofit, which assists children with special needs and their families.
