WICHITA — The Shorty Small's social media pages on Twitter and Facebook went from talking about National Tortilla Chip Day to saying goodbye to Wichita on Feb. 24.

“Well folks, The day is here. Shorty’s Wichita has closed it’s doors. We want to thank you for your patronage. It has been a great 7 yrs. Thanks to all of our employee’s for making it such a fun time. Good luck to you all.”

That was the message on Facebook Sunday night, with a link from Twitter, too.

No one with the chain could immediately be reached for comment.

The restaurant opened a few years ago at the southwest corner of 119th and Maple.

Look for more details on the closing later today.
