Wings blow lead at Missouri

The Missouri Comets erased a 6-0 deficit in the first 1:33 of the second quarter to take an 8-6 lead over the Wichita Wings on the way to a 15-11 win on Sunday at Independence, Mo.

Wichita opened the game with back-to-back goals from Freddie Moojen and a goal from Daniel Villegas, but Missouri came back with three quick goals to go ahead.

The Wings tied the score at 8-8 in the third quarter on a goal from Andrew Hoxie, but the Comets outscored Wichita 7-3 in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

The loss dropped the last-place Wings to 7-18 with one regular-season game remaining.
