A pregnant shopper was knocked down and had her purse taken at the Dillons at Harry and Edgemoor about 2 p.m. Friday, but police were able to track down the alleged thief by following his footprints in the snow, police said.
Police said the shopper was confronted by a 17-year old boy who asked her for a dollar as she entered the store. When she refused, he grabbed her purse, knocked her down and took off..
Police followed his prints and found him hiding in an apartment in the 5200 block of East Harry.
He was booked into jail on suspicion of robbery.
