Wings can’t erase deficit at Syracuse

Syracuse broke open a tight game with goals two minutes apart in the third quarter of a 15-10 win over the Wings on Friday night in Syracuse, N.Y.

Neto’s power-play goal at 5:56 of the third quarter gave the Silver Knights an 8-4 lead, then Andriy Budnyy scored a three-point goal two minutes later to open up a seven-point lead.

The Wings drew within 13-10 on a goal by Freddy Moojen at 9:07 of the fourth quarter, but couldn’t score again.
