Wichita State won’t make up missed classes from this week

The only significant loss to Wichita State University students from this week’s two day campus shut-down is that they missed some class periods, a university spokesman said today.

WSU shut down Thursday and Friday because of the snowstorm. But the university doesn’t try to make up lost days.

“I don’t know of any additional fallout from the close down other than the fact that students and faculty have one or two days less to cover their material this semester,” said University spokesman Joe Kleinsasser.

“Of course, I would say most classes don’t meet on both Thursday and Friday, so most are missing just one day of classes this week,” he said. “For most of the staff, work resumes on Monday like usual, and depending on the job, you pick up where you left off.”
