Wichita police have arrested the parents of a 3-month-old boy who suffered a skull fracture that is not life-threatening, a police spokesman said Thursday.
After the parents brought him to the emergency room at Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis about 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, an X-ray showed he had a skull fracture, police Lt. Doug Nolte said. The child was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit.
A police report said a 21-year-old woman with a south Wichita address was arrested Wednesday and booked into jail on suspicion of aggravated child endangerment and child abuse. Police also arrested the boy’s father, said police Lt. Jeff Weible, head of the city-county Exploited and Missing Child Unit.
