Collins Bus parent appoints new president

The parent of Collins Bus Corp. said Wednesday it has hired a new president for the South Hutchinson-based company.

Dan Peters most recently served as senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for Pierce Manufacturing. He has 30 years of experience in developing customer relationships and leading business growth, according to a news release from Allied Speciality Vehicles, Collins’ parent.

Peters replaces Kent Tyler, who ASV named president and CEO of E-One, a manufacturer of fire and rescue trucks.

Collins Bus is a manufacturer of small buses classified as Type A for schools and other organizations.
