Supporters of the Wichita Children’s Home are going to offer a classic-car show and benefit in April, the home said in a news release.

Tickets will cost $100; which helps pay for hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer. No one under age 21 will be allowed in.

The benefit will be 6-9 p.m. on April 11 at Century II Exhibition Hall.

The children’s home cares for victims of abuse, abandonment and neglect, as well as runaways, children in family crisis, and children who may be at risk in their homes. The home was founded in 1888 as the city’s first orphanage for destitute and homeless children.

It is the only emergency, temporary residential shelter for children in the Wichita area.
