Commercial drivers license training offered in Anthony, Medicine Lodge

Several agencies are offering low-cost or free commercial driver training for unemployed or low-income drivers, as well as veterans.

The training will be offered in Anthony and Medicine Lodge for work in the oil fields.

The first class starts March 4. Those interested must call the Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas at 316-771-6600 to see if they qualify.

The training is being offered by the Kansas Department of Commerce, Harper County Economic Development Council, North Central Kansas Technical College and the Workforce Alliance.
