A forum for Wichita City Council contenders facing off in this month’s primary will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in northeast Wichita.

Candidates in Districts 3, 4 and 6 will give their platform presentations then respond to questions from voters at Grant Chapel CME Church, 2750 N. Hillside.

A meet-the-candidate reception will follow.

The forum wraps up at 6 p.m.

Those invited to speak are incumbent James Clendenin, Clinton Coen and Mary Dean in south and southeast Wichita’s District 3; Joshua Blick, Jeff Blubaugh, Craig Gabel and David Glover running in southwest Wichita’s District 4; and Vice Mayor Janet Miller, Richard Stephenson, and Marty Mork from north-central Wichita’s District 6 race.

The event is sponsored by the Wichita Voter Empowerment 2013 Community, a group of local religious and community organizations.

The primary election is Feb. 26. The general election is April 2.
