Two children, ages 1 and 2, were taken into protective custody early Friday after police found them without adult supervision in their home in southeast Wichita,.
Wichita police Lt. Doug Nolte said officers were called to the home at about 3:30 a.m. by a neighbor who was concerned about their welfare. Nolte said investigators are trying to determine where the children’s parents were at the time and why the children were left alone.
