The state agency that regulates gambling will meet in Mulvane on Friday.
The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission, which regularly meets in Topeka, will hold its monthly meeting at 1 p.m. in the Mulvane City Council chambers, 211 N. Second Ave.
Bill Miskell, spokesman for the commission, said commissioners want to get a look at the Kansas Star Casino’s new permanent facility, which opened in December, and at the adjoining Hampton Inn and Suites.
The commission last met in Mulvane in December 2011, to approve controlled demonstrations before the Kansas Star opened its temporary casino facility.
