Advance voting in person starts Wednesday for city council primary races

Advance voting in person for the primary election will begin Wednesday in the Sedgwick County Election Office, 510 N. Main, Suite 101 in Wichita.

Voters who live in districts with primaries will be able to cast ballots in the office Wednesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Feb. 19-22 during the same hours. Voting also will take place in the office from 8 a.m. to noon Feb. 25. Election Day is Feb. 26.

Only voters who live in these districts can participate: Wichita City Council Districts 3 (southeast Wichita), 4 (southwest Wichita) and 6 (north-central Wichita); Park City Ward 2 (southeast Park City); and Valley Center Ward 2 (northeast Valley Center).

Voting in those districts will open to more polling sites from noon to 7 p.m. Feb. 21 and Feb. 22 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 23.

The expanded advance voting sites are the Independent Living Resource Center, 3033 W. 2nd St. N.; Sharon Baptist Church, 2221 S. Oliver; the Machinists Building, 3830 S. Meridian Ave.; Westlink Church of Christ, 10025 W. Central; and the Sedgwick County Zoo Cargill Learning Center, 5555 Zoo Blvd.
