Sight chances for rain and snow are in the forecast for the Wichita area today, forecasters say.

The snow is most likely after daybreak, with the precipitation changing over to snow in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 30s, with light and variable winds.

Chances for rain and snow linger into the evening hours before skies gradually clear overnight, forecasters say. Wednesday will be much warmer, with sunny skies and highs in the low 50s.

Winds will be light out of the west, occasionally reaching double digits.

Thursday is expected to offer more sunshine and highs near 50 before Friday delivers another chance of rain and snow, forecasters say.
