Two men toting shotguns robbed Family Video employees outside the south Wichita store early Monday, police said.
Two employees were walking to one’s car at about 12:30 a.m. Monday at 1759 S. Hillside when a gold Buick LeSabre pulled up and a passenger pointed a shotgun out the window, demanding the bank bag and personal property, Lt. Doug Nolte said.
As the passenger continued to point his shotgun at the two employees, the driver – also armed with a shotgun – retrieved the bank bag and money from the employees, Nolte said. They also took an employee’s keys, but did not take her vehicle.
The suspect who took the bank bag is a white male in his early 20s, the victims told police. He is about 5 feet 6 with a thin build. He wore a black and blue jacket, blue jeans and a dark bandanna.
The second suspect, who stayed in the car, is also in his early 20s, but had a larger build. He wore a white bandanna.
