A man who said he was on a middle-of-the-night QuikTrip run told police that he was attacked by three men as he walked home, police Sgt. Bart Brunscheen said Saturday. The 22-year-old victim said he was attacked while walking in the 2400 block of West Haskell, near Pawnee and Meridian, about 3 a.m. Saturday, Brunscheen said.

The man’s report to police was “rather vague” because of his condition, Brunscheen said. The man said that he had walked to QT to get something to eat and then was beaten up as he walked home. After the attackers left, he went home and went to bed, he said, and then when he woke up at 6 a.m. his mother saw a stab wound to his chest and took him to the hospital. He underwent surgery, Brunscheen said.
