A 39-year-old Andover man is in critical condition at a local hospital after he crashed an SUV into two trees during a rollover accident on a Butler County road, the Kansas Highway Patrol reports.

The man was driving north on southwest Indianola Road near southwest 80th Street when he veered over to the edge of the road and lost control, according to a KHP crash report. The 2008 Chevrolet Sport Utility Vehicle he drove went into a ditch, where it struck the trees. The SUV then rolled and landed on its wheels, the report said.

The crash happened around 10:22 a.m. Saturday in the 8400 block of southwest Indianola Road, about two miles north of Augusta Municipal Airport.

The man was transported to Wesley Medical Center for treatment. He was listed in critical condition Saturday afternoon, a hospital operator said.
