Oscar buzz is heightening as the Feb. 24 awards show approaches.

That means it’s time for us to invite Kansas movie buffs to predict who will take home an Oscar in our annual contest.

Click to enter The Wichita Eagle’s Oscar contest, which challenges you to make the correct pick in 10 categories, including Best Picture, actor and actress in leading and supporting roles and Animated Feature Film.

And, as always, if you guess the winners in our categories correctly, you’ll be eligible to win prizes and bragging rights.

This year, all entries to the contest must be submitted online by 5 p.m. Feb. 24. (The awards show begins at 6 p.m. that day.)

We will notify winners by phone or e-mail, so all entries must include a daytime phone number and e-mail address. Please include your name, too.

Participants in The Eagle’s Oscar contest agree to be interviewed and photographed if they are selected as one of the top three winners.

One entry per person. Entrants must be at least 13 years old. Entrants must be residents of Kansas.

Employees of The Wichita Eagle or their family members are ineligible for the contest. See complete rules and details at Kansas.com.

We’ll report back on the winners after the Feb. 24 awards ceremony. It airs at 6 p.m. on ABC and KAKE, Channel 10.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to those who guess the most correct winners:

•  First: $100 gift certificate, four movie tickets and a year’s subscription to Entertainment Weekly magazine.

•  Second: $50 gift certificate and four movie tickets.

•  Third: $25 gift certificate and four movie tickets.

Please direct any questions about the contest to Lori O’Toole Buselt at lbuselt@wichitaeagle.com.

Happy movie-watching and winner-picking.
