The Urban League of Kansas is getting ready for its annual Equal Opportunity Award Dinner and is asking Wichitans to submit nominations for two awards.
The Urban League wants to recognize an organization for the Corporate Diversity Award and an individual for the Unsung Hero Award. The winners will be recognized at the annual dinner on May 16.
It will also recognize an organization in the 2013 Equal Opportunity Corporate Award, an Emerging Leader, Small Business and Whitney M. Young Jr. Leadership Award.
The Urban League provides economic opportunity for all people by providing training to enter the workforce and preparing people to achieve. The group’s mission is to facilitate economic self-reliance and improved quality of life.
