Police investigating the report of a disturbance late Wednesday night found a man with a bloody nose — and a marijuana-growing operation in the basement.

The call came in shortly before midnight, Lt. Steve Kenney said. Police, who arrived in the 800 block of North Edgemoor, found a 19-year-old man with a bloody nose. They also found lots of blood in the living room and a bathroom.

But they couldn’t find the man’s 19-year-old roommate. As they kept looking, they found a marijuana-growing operation in the basement of the house, Kenney said. Officers found 11 plants growing in the basement, he said.

The bloody man was arrested on suspicion of drug-related offenses. His roommate has not yet been found, Kenney said.
