After two days that featured light snow, sunshine is expected to return to the Wichita metropolitan area on Friday.
Highs could touch 40, forecasters say, with south winds gusting at times to more than 25 miles an hour. Overnight lows under mostly clear skies will dip into the mid-20s, and the weekend is projected to bring more sunshine and highs in the 50s.
