The Wings scored two in 10 seconds during the third quarter Thursday night in Chicago. The other 59-plus minutes were the problem in an 8-6 loss to the Soul, the Wings’ fifth straight loss.

Chicago’s Erik Lukin scored the only goal of the first half. The Wings took a 4-2 lead when Adrian Gonzalez scored at 7:47 of the third quarter and Miguel Ferrer followed with a goal 10 seconds later.

The Soul pulled even on a goal by Bato Radoncic at 12:55 of the third, then built an 8-4 edge on goals by Aaron Nichols and Radncic early in the fourth quarter.

Freddie Moojen’s goal at 11:22 got the Wings within two points, but Wichita couldn’t score again.
