Snow flurries in Wichita, but they won't last long

Snow is making a rare – for this winter, at least – appearance in Wichita today.

But it won’t amount to much, according to the National Weather Service. A snow band about 30 miles wide is moving through the metropolitan area as noon approaches, and it’s expected to provide a dusting or perhaps .10 of an inch before flurries end.
