Traffic accidents in south and west Wichita snarled the Thursday morning commute for many residents, authorities said.

A rollover accident just before 6:45 a.m. on MacArthur Road just east of K-15 backed up traffic for many aircraft workers, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. Motorists were being advised to find another route to avoid extended delays.

Two accidents six minutes apart on southbound I-235 over Kellogg tied up that sector of the freeway in west Wichita, the supervisor said. The first accident was reported at 6:46 a.m. and the other at 6:52 a.m.

No serious injuries were reported in any of crashes that were delaying traffic, the supervisor said.
