A man armed with a knife robbed the Dollar General store in Boulevard Plaza shopping center in southeast Wichita on Sunday night, police said.

The robbery occurred at 8:20 p.m. on Sunday at 2747 E. Boulevard Plaza, at Lincoln and George Washington Drive, Lt. Doug Nolte said. The suspect, a white male in his 40s, demanded money from one register but not the other.

He was wearing dark jeans, a tan coat and a black baseball cap, an employee who witnessed the crime told police. He had a black bandanna over his face and also wore gloves.

He walked south from the store after the robbery, Nolte said.
