If you’re a local photographer interested in being featured in Guest Gallery (no professional experience necessary), please send an e-mail and one sample photo to readerphotos@wichitaeagle.com.

Today’s guest photographer is Gorman Frederickson, a retired high school English teacher. Frederickson and his wife currently live in rural Marion County near Peabody, but they spent the last ten years of their careers teaching in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

He has traveled extensively and his gallery comprises many portraits he took overseas.

“I have learned that the true charm of almost any place is its people. Photographing people allows me an insight into a place that I just can’t get any other way,” he said.

Visit kansas.com/photos/guest to see a gallery with more of Frederickson’s photos.
