Pickle the Goofball, an 8-year-old male Labrador retriever mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

My tail is just wagging as I think about going on walks with you. We can go to all the parks. I bet we’ll have great times together. You should come visit me at KHS today.

Also available:

•  Rose the Wallflower, 5-year-old female English Foxhound mix

Oh boy, I can’t wait to go on walks with you. I might be a little shy when I first meet you, but once I get used to you, you won’t leave a room without me following you. Come to KHS and visit with me today. We can start our fun times right away.

• Hawthorne the Secret Admirer, 6-year-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix

I’m a little shy at first. Once I get to know you, though, I’ll follow you all over the place. Can we play some cat games too? I really like catch the string. You should visit with me at KHS. Fun times await us!

•  Buster the Executive, 31/2-year-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix

I’m just the guy for you. Why, you ask? Well I’m an executive who’s going to manage all the things around your place. I only require an office; that spot where the sun hits on the floor will do nicely. You should visit me at KHS today.

•  Bubba the Personal Assistant, 7-year-old male Maine Coon mix

Hi, my name is Bubba and I might just be the furriest and friendliest cat you’ve ever met. It’s cold outside, but my fur will help keep you warm. I’m the blanket that you can snuggle with. You should visit me at KHS today.
