One person was killed and three other people were injured after an SUV rolled over on a dirt road in Derby, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said.

The crash occurred at 12:13 a.m. Saturday near 87th Street South and Webb Road, Sgt. Conrad Jansson said.

The vehicle was on 87th Street when it crossed over Webb and the driver lost control, Jansson said.

The vehicle rolled several times. There were four people in the car. The person who was killed was a 15-year-old male who was ejected from the vehicle, Jansson said.

He said he did not know whether the person who died was the driver or a passenger.

One person is in critical condition in an area hospital.

It is believed speed was a factor, but authorities are still investigating, Jansson said.

It is not known if alcohol contributed to the crash.
