Instead of spending time closing Boeing in Wichita, maybe CEO Jim McNerney should have been visiting the Energizer bunny and buying a reliable battery for the 787. That would have been a real cost savings.

Apparently we’re educating ourselves and designing technology to eliminate the human race.

Whenever anybody, especially a politician, prefaces something with “let me be honest with you,” “quite frankly” or “the truth is,” I know a whopper is coming. Joe Biden’s comments on his gun-control task force come instantly to mind.

Why is it that whenever there is a crazed shooting event, they want to take the guns away from the people who didn’t do it?

I sleep better at night knowing that the blue states will embrace gun-control laws and the red states will not.

Every gun owner should be required to buy comprehensive insurance for every firearm he has. The cost should be proportional to the gun’s firepower.

I have an assault rifle but I can’t find a militia. Could someone direct me to a meeting?

In 1994 Congress passed an anti-gun law. It accomplished nothing positive and was allowed to expire after 10 years. Rather than demonizing gun possession, we should look into incarcerating those dangerous individuals with mental problems.

I wish someone would have a Sudafed show in Wichita so I wouldn’t have to stand in line and register my purchase with the government.

The more I understand our president and his socialist principles, the more I am convinced we have gone so far backward that the United States of America is becoming the United States of Welfare.

I sure wish people in Kansas had paid attention during high school so they could understand that Democrats are not socialists. It’s embarrassing.

Beyonce – today’s version of Milli Vanilli. Of course, her performance was as authentic and genuine as Obama, his administration and his disciples.

Obama inauguration: full of audacity, but little hope.

Concerning the geese pooping on golf courses (Jan. 16 Letters to the Editor): They’re simply behaving normally. However, if they start to pick up sticks and try knocking little balls into a hole in the ground, they should be psychologically examined.
