Dondlinger & Sons Construction Co. has been named the general contractor for the Quivira Council Boy Scouts of America headquarters.

The headquarters, to be named the Koch Scouting Center and located near K-96 and Oliver, will be 12,900 square feet and is designed by Schaefer Johnson Cox Frey Architecture.

The project is estimated at $1.8 million.

It will replace the Quivira Council’s building at 1555 E. 2nd.

The new building is expected to open in the fall. It will be built on land donated by Koch Industries, which also gave the council a cash gift.
