An armed man covering his face with a bandanna robbed the Dollar General store on Dugan in west Wichita on Thursday night, police said.

The man entered the store at 515 S. Dugan, near Kellogg, at about 8:15 p.m., pointed a handgun at the two clerks on duty and demanded cash from the front registers, Lt. Doug Nolte said.

The clerks complied, and the robber left the store. The clerks told police the man got into a dark-colored sedan and drove away, Nolte said.

The robber is a white man about 20 years old, the clerks said. He is about 5-foot-6 and 170 pounds. He wore a black knit cap, a dark pullover hooded sweatshirt and a light blue bandanna covering his face. He also wore white gloves.

Anyone with information linked to the robbery is encouraged to call 911, Nolte said.
