Groups urge pet owners to spay and neuter cats

  • Published Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at 11:08 a.m.

Two groups – Spay Neuter Kansas and the RETAIN (Responsible and Ethical Treatment of Animals in Neighborhoods) Foundation – are encouraging cat owners to make sure their cats are spayed and neutered.

In February, if a pet owner’s income is less than $40,000 a year, they can get their cat spayed or neutered for $10. Low-cost vaccinations are also available during that time. To make an appointment, call 316-263-4200.

The offer is limited to two cats per household and to the first 300 pet owners who respond.
