Police are investigating the shooting of a teenager in Wichita late Sunday night.

The 14-year-old boy said he was walking in the area of 13th and Hillside when someone began shooting at about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. He was hit in the shoulder and walked a short distance to his grandmother’s house off Vassar Street for help.

He was taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment. The victim wasn’t sure exactly where the shooting occurred, the supervisor said, and was unable to provide a description of the shooter.
