A Wichita school district employee has been placed on administrative leave of absence, district spokeswoman Susan Arensman said.

Jails records show a 50-year-old man with the same name as the employee was booked into Sedgwick County Jail under suspicion of multiple counts of aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated indecent liberties with a child.

Wichita police spokesman Lt. Doug Nolte confirmed his arrest to The Eagle on Saturday evening.

Arensman did not provide further comment in her e-mailed response to questions.

The man remained in custody Saturday in lieu of $250,000 bond, jail records show. More details in the case are expected to be released Tuesday during the media’s regular briefing with police, Nolte said.
