Husband, wife sentenced in tax fraud case

The co-owners of a Wichita computer consulting company were sentenced Monday on tax fraud charges.

Charles W. Kriel, 60, received a sentence of 12 months and a day. Pamela A. Kriel, 60, was sentenced to time served.

The couple pleaded guilty last fall to one count of making a fraudulent claim on their tax return in 2008. Also, Charles Kriel pleaded guilty in submitting a fraudulent promissory note to his mortgage lender.
