Michael Oren, Israel’s ambassador to the United States, will be the guest speaker Jan. 29 for Kansas State University’s Landon Lecture Series.

The event will be at 10:15 a.m. in the Forum Hall at K-State’s student union. Oren, who was born in the U.S. and educated at Princeton and Columbia universities, will present a talk on, “Israel, the ultimate ally,” K-State officials said.

The Landon Series has been held for more than 40 years and is named after Alfred Landon, who served two consecutive terms as Kansas governor and was the 1936 Republican nominee for president.
