An 81-year-old woman remains in intensive care in critical condition Monday night after a traffic accident near Park City.
The collision was reported at 2:50 p.m. at 77th Street North and Hydraulic, north of Park City, a Sedgwick County dispatcher said. Two women were hurt in the collision, but one refused treatment at the scene.
The 81-year-old woman was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita in critical condition.
Authorities said she was driving east on 77th Street and stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of 77th North and Hydraulic but pulled out in front of a Chevy van headed south on Hydraulic.
The driver of the van “attempted to brake and steer to avoid striking her but they did collide,” said Sedgwick County sheriff’s Sgt. Jeff Omart.
