Wichita under winter weather advisory for Saturday

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory in effect from 1 p.m. Saturday until midnight for south-central Kansas.

Total snow accumulation in the Wichita area is expected to be around an inch.

The greatest amount of snow is expected to be over the Flint Hills and should range from 1 to 3 inches.

Freezing rain and freezing drizzle is expected in southeast Kansas.
