The pharmacy at McPherson Hospital has received the Best Practice Award from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, an annual award that recognizes outstanding practitioners in health-system pharmacy who have implemented innovative systems that improve the quality of patient care and demonstrated best practices in pharmacy.

The law firm of Hite, Fanning & Honeyman has been selected as a finalist for the 2013 edition of Benchmark Litigation State Firm of the Year.

Flinthills Services Inc. in El Dorado has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities International for a period of three years for its employment and community services, organizational employment services, community housing, supported living, services coordination and community integration programs.


Meritrust Credit Union has selected Envision Foundation of Wichita and Sunlight Children’s Advocacy & Rights Foundation to each receive $30,000 donations. The donations were made possible by the credit union’s “Skip-A-Pay” program, which allows members to defer their loan payments in December by paying a $25 processing fee per loan, a portion of which is donated to local charities.

The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors of Wichita presented a check for $5,100 to the Greater Wichita YMCA to support the YMCA Strong Kids program.
