Klein, Malone will play in Jan. 19 East-West Shrine Game

Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein and cornerback Nigel Malone will play in the Jan. 19 Shrine Game in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Game time is 3 p.m. on the NFL Network.

They make K-State’s 48th and 49th selections to the game.

Teammates Arthur Brown and Chris Harper are already scheduled to play in the Jan. 26 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. That game is also at 3 p.m. on NFL Network.

Five Jayhawks chosen — Five Kansas seniors accepted invitations to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl on Jan. 19 in Carson, Calif.: quarterback Dayne Crist, center Trevor Marrongelli, linebacker Toben Opurum, defensive end Josh Williams and offensive tackle Duane Zlatnick.
