Three people were arrested and authorities are still looking for a fourth after a theft at a north Wichita Walmart early Tuesday morning.

The four people stole several items from the store at Meridian and 53rd Street North shortly before 5 a.m. Tuesday, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. They left in a red Ford Focus.

Police were notified and the suspect vehicle was spotted several minutes after the theft. The driver of the Focus pulled over at I-235 and Meridian at about 5:18 a.m., the supervisor said. Three people were taken into custody, but a fourth person escaped from the car.
