News conference set on Sedgwick County jail battery incident

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said Monday it has scheduled a news conference to discuss an aggravated battery that occurred Friday at the jail.

A Sheriff’s Office e-mail sent out Monday evening gave no details about the incident. Sheriff Jeff Easter couldn’t be reached for comment.

The news conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
