The former chief technology officer of Priceline.com will be among three judges evaluating Pipeline entrepreneurs in an annual Innovator of the Year competition.

Pipeline said in a news release Monday that the judges are: Scott Case, founding chief technology officer of Priceline; bioscience entrepreneur Magda Marquet; and Thom Ruhe, vice president of entrepreneurship at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.

They will evaluate the presentations of Pipeline’s 2012 fellows — including Wichitan Brandon Shuey, president and founder of FlipHound.com — at the Jan. 24 competition at the Marriott Muehlebach Hotel in Kansas City, Mo.

The 12 fellows will be judged on their business plans, their pitches to the judges and a score carried over from their performance during the yearlong fellowship.
