The Wings lost a 7-3 first-quarter lead on Sunday, falling to the Missouri Comets 24-11 in a Major Indoor Soccer League game at Independence, Mo.

Missouri’s points were a season high against the Wings, who dropped their second straight game after winning 4 of 5.

Geison scored three goals for the Wings, including two on first-quarter power plays. All three goals were assisted by Victor Quiroz.

But the Wings’ defense suffered through Missouri’s 11-point second quarter and trailed 14-9 at halftime. Missouri scored four more unanswered goals before Kevin Ten Eyck got the Wings’ final goal with just more than 11 minutes to play.

A win would’ve put the Wings into third place in the MISL, jumping the Comets. Missouri visits the Wings at Hartman Arena on Saturday night.
