Investigators have identified the person killed in Friday’s head-on collision with a semi truck just south of Augusta as Kenneth Shaw.
Shaw, 21, of Douglass, was driving a 1997 Dodge passenger car north on U.S. 77 one mile south of Augusta shortly before noon when he crossed over the center line and crashed into the southbound semi, a Kansas Highway Patrol report said.
Shaw was pronounced dead at the scene. The 51-year-old driver of the semi was taken to the hospital with possible injuries, the report said.
