Freddy the Life of the Party, a 3-year-old male Brittany mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

I just love being around people. I always have the most fun when we hang out together. They throw stuffed toys and I fetch them. They rub my belly. They even give me great-tasting treats. You should come to KHS and visit with me today. I want to hang out with you.

Also available:

•  Lacey the Busy Bee, 3-year-old female shepherd mix

I enjoy being outside, don’t you? There is just so much to see. I especially like taking my time and smelling everything around me. I also like playing fetch. Oh boy, a game of fetch sounds great right now. You should come visit me at KHS so we can start playing right away.

• Miss Kitty the Sidekick, 4 1/2-year-old female cat, domestic shorthair mix

I might just be the little princess of your house. As such, I will want to be the center of attention. I’ll follow you to the kitchen and wherever you go, just as long as you pet me and talk to me. You should come to KHS and visit with me.

•  Oliver the Private Investigator, 2-year-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix

I might be a little shy at first. Once I get to know you, though, I’ll be by your side at all moments. We can watch TV together, play with a string mouse, and even just cuddle on the couch. That sounds like a great time to me. You should visit with me at KHS.

•  Sunshine the Kitten, 2-month-old male cat, domestic medium-hair mix

I’m a sociable cat and I have quite a few stories to tell you. But I’m not all about talking. You can tell me all about your long day at work and I’ll give you some great cat advice. Visit me at KHS today, and we can start hanging out right away.
